Sarah Midanik

Sarah Midanik is a Founder and Principal Consultant for Inter-Tribal. A member of the Métis Nation of Alberta from the historic Métis settlement of St. Albert, Sarah is a member of the Cunningham family.

Sarah's Story

Sarah has completed an Executive MBA in Indigenous Business Leadership from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and was named one of The Peak’s Emerging Leaders of 2022. Sarah has over 15 years of experience, specializing in the not-for-profit and charitable sectors. Her career path includes work with Indigenous communities and organizations, non-government organizations, corporate partners and governments from across Canada. She has held leadership roles in a number of Indigenous organizations including her time as the President & CEO of The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, and Executive Director of the Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto. 

Sarah is an accomplished leader and ambassador with countless engagements and connections across Canada. It is her passion for community, culture and traditions that drives her to be an advocate to further reconciliation in Canada. Sarah brings the past, present and future to the table, moving non-Indigenous and Indigenous peoples towards building stronger relationships resulting in sustainable, equitable partnerships and shared prosperity.

Jordan Wapass

Jordan is a Founder and Principal Consultant for Inter-Tribal. Jordan is Cree and a member of Thunderchild First Nation in Saskatchewan. He has completed a Masters Degree from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and in 2015 he was named one of the University's Top 50 most inspiring graduate students of the last 50 years.

Jordans Story

Jordan is a knowledgeable Indigenous executive with over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector, including work with the Province of BC and Ottawa based think tank, the Conference Board of Canada. Jordan has led, in senior roles as Director of Operations and Executive Director, First Nations governments located in Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec. 

Recently, he has earned his Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) designation through AFOA Canada and is currently completing his Executive MBA through SFU. He finds the most joy in this world creating moments with his son, Cash.
